This means we recognize the distinctly Christian duty of parents to train and teach their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6:4). We seek to equip and encourage parents to be disciple-makers. Our church shares in this responsibility toward children — we desire to support and help parents, and be a co-laborer with them, rather than supplanting them as the primary disciple-maker.
We encourage family worship not only at home, but together in our worship service. The sound of little children and infants in our corporate worship is a beautiful sound. It reminds us that the gospel is for our children, and that fulfilling the great commission starts in our families.
“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
Deuteronomy 6:6–9
What We’re About
We teach and preach systematically through books of the Bible. When necessary, word for word!
While the trend is to separate families, we keep them together in worship. We believe in family discipleship as seen and expected in the Bible (Deut. 6). Parents are equipped, not usurped, here!
We provide a Next Steps booklet as a guide through Scripture to “continue in the Word” (John 8:31). This is how we intentionally make disciples (Mt. 28:19).
We take the Scriptures seriously (Psalm 119). We want to know God through studying His Word deeply. The 3D Bible Study sheet is a guide on how to rightly divide and apply God’s Word (2 Tim. 2:15).
For Our Families
We proudly follow a biblical approach to church by inviting whole families to worship and learn together. In a day when 88% of “churched” children fall away by college age, we see clearly the need for them to be fully involved in worship with their parents. We are grateful for our church pulling together to build a “training” room for infants and young children to be trained up in the way they should go (Prov. 22:6). We encourage young families to utilize this area to help children learn to sing, listen, take notes, and be fully involved in worship — grateful for all our families who devote attention to teaching their children how to love and honor our Lord.
Join Us
We welcome your visit and pray you’ll feel right at home! Whether you join us early for Bible Study or come later for our family-integrated Worship Service, there will always be a friendly face to greet you and steer you in the right direction.
Midweek
On Wednesday, the Worship Center doors open at 5:00pm. You can come early to fellowship, and some bring a meal to have for dinner. Then, at 6:00pm we sing together, study God’s Word, and conclude by praying together.
Watch the StudiesFor Our StudentsHigh School–Age 22
At 7:30pm, our students meet together in the Student Center. There they praise and worship, memorize Scripture, and study God’s Word line by line together — a great way for our youth to grow in their faith and build healthy friendships that encourage them in a dark and weary world.
